Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Lead Mobile Diesel Master Tech to oversee on-site maintenance and DOT inspections for a nationwide mobile fleet. The role emphasizes diagnostics, repairs, and mentoring junior technicians while interacting with customers in a fast-paced field environment.

The position offers an hourly base pay, a Monday–Friday shift, and opportunities for incentive programs. Candidates must meet DOT requirements and be able to work in a remote-capable role within the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of related experience or equivalent.
• ASE certifications within 18 months (T8 PMI, C1 Service Consultant, 608/609) preferred.
• Willingness to obtain DOT/FMCSA certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on RO using company tools.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck operations.
• Mentor and train Mobile Diesel Technicians and assist MTM with QA inspections.
