Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Lead Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will interact with customers, manage parts and schedule, and mentor other technicians to meet safety and productivity standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing on-site repairs, ensuring compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations, and maintaining the service truck and tools. A strong toolset and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 7+ years in field, or equivalent combination.
• Acceptable alternate: any degree/certification plus 5+ years’ experience.
• Candidates with 9+ years in related field considered.
• Must supply a complete set of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field assignments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Document work and upload RO findings using company TRAIT app.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist MTM on QC inspections.
• Interact with clients to assess needs and manage expectations.
