Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Lead Mobile Diesel And Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, and light to advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting.

The Lead will mentor technicians, handle on-site customer interactions, and coordinate with management to optimize performance. The role requires ASE certifications and safety/compliance adherence.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 7+ years experience, or equivalent combination and 5–9 years in related field.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Obtain ASE 608/609 within 18 months.
• Obtain ASE C1 (Service Consultant) within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and reconcile on company service trucks.
• Maintain safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections; document work performed.
