Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to support on-site mobile maintenance nationwide from Edison, NJ. The role focuses on DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced mechanical diagnostics for light to heavy trucks, with a leadership role on jobsites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related field experience (or 5 years alternative)
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
• OEM training and certifications are preferred
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems, engine electronics, transmissions, and related components
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and reliability
• Document findings and parts used on Repair Orders via company mobile TRAIT app
