Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile field setting. You will work on light to heavy-duty trucks, using hand tools, diagnostic gear, and TRAIT for documentation.

Lead on jobsites and coordinate with customers to ensure high-quality repairs. Requirements include HS diploma/GED and 3+ years in related field, with ASE certifications preferred; valid DOT medical card or DOT exam readiness is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience.
• 3+ years in a related field; 5 years acceptable with different qualifications.
• 3+ years with refrigerated equipment and required hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA regulation knowledge and DOT exam readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems in trucks and trailers.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repair quality and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies; complete RO documentation via TRAIT.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and update RO findings.
