Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Edison, NJ to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, repair, document work, and manage the service vehicle while communicating with customers to ensure high quality service.

This role requires 3+ years of related experience, DOT/regulatory knowledge, and ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in fleet maintenance or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on mobile sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect and test equipment using test instruments and road test vehicles.
• Maintain service vehicle and document work on RO via mobile app.
• Coordinate with customers to assess needs and provide solutions.
