Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Edison, NJ. This role performs PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light‑ to heavy‑duty trucks in a mobile/field environment.

You’ll diagnose, adjust, and repair fuel, electrical, cooling, and drivetrain systems, test vehicles, and ensure safety and reliability. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years in the field), plus tools and DOT/FMCSA readiness.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience; or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools for required duties.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screen and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trucks in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems on diesel trucks.
• Test, road test, and inspect vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
