Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and both light and complex mechanical repairs in a mobile environment. You will diagnose electrical, fuel, cooling, and engine systems across a range of trucks and trailers, test drive to verify repairs, and document findings using company tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ related field experience considered.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is a plus.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations training and compliance required or pursued.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one; DOT background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain accurate DR/RO documentation via company systems.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
