Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose complex issues, manage parts on the service truck, and coordinate with customers to ensure service excellence.

The role demands strong diagnostic skills, adherence to safety and DOT regulations, and the ability to work independently with a high level of productivity in various site conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of related field experience; 5 years acceptable.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge and DOT medical card requirements are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Document findings and parts used on Repair Orders using company devices.
