Job summary

Cox Fleet, a division of Cox Automotive, is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician in a mobile/field role. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on light to heavy trucks, diagnose complex systems, and serve as on-site lead on jobsites.

You will upload RO data via TRAIT and ensure safety and regulatory compliance at all times. The position requires HS diploma or GED with 5+ years experience, ASE T8 PMI and 608/609 within 18 months, and a valid CDL with DOT qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related experience considered.
• ASE T8 PMI and 608/609 certifications required within 18 months.
• DOT-related inspections and safe driving principles demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems and other truck equipment.
• Document work and upload RO details using an iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers on estimates, approvals, and RO findings.
• Maintain safety, compliance with DOT/OSHA/EPA regulations.
