Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading on-site mobile maintenance provider, is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician in the United States. The role focuses on licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostic work for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

The Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician will lead on-site diagnostics, triage complex repairs, and coordinate with customers while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ASE T2 Diesel certification required.
• ASE L2 Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis certification required.
• Experience with DOT inspections and PM inspections preferred.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Repair and diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Document findings and parts used on RO using company tools.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck equipment; maintain safety checks.
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and scheduling.
