Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to service light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks with on-site mobile maintenance nationwide. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a field environment, leading on-site crews when needed.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED with 3 years' related experience (or 5 years), ASE certifications preferred, and a valid DOT medical card. Safety-focused with strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; other combinations considered.
• 3 years' related experience; 5 years acceptable.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance experience or training required or preferred.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Must possess and provide own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in field/mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and diesel systems.
• Test and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings using company tools.
• Obtain parts from vendors as needed and manage inventory.
• Maintain safety checks and vehicle readiness on each shift.
