Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Mine Technical Services Manager for a Western US position, based in one of our many Western US offices. You will lead North American resource geology, mining (open pit and underground), advisory services, and mineral processing teams, delivering technical and economic solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership of multidisciplinary teams, business development with clients, and collaboration across the organization to meet study definitions and schedules.

Qualifications

• Mining Study and Technical Services leadership experience.
• Experience leading and developing high performing teams.
• Ability to meet / maintain relationships with mining clients at senior / executive levels.
• Knowledge of NI43-101, JORC and SEC SK-1300 reporting is preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mining engineers, geologists, economists, and designers from high level studies through execution.
• Engage in business development with external relationships and key clients.
• Contribute to an innovative and collaborative work environment.
• Regularly interface with clients on project technical issues.
• Serve as program manager or project sponsor on key accounts.
• Define scope and execution plan with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Enhance study management processes and QA/QC activities.
• Sign off as competent person where required.
• Assist clients in presenting study progress and outcomes.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
