Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced Mine Technical Services Manager for the Western US (based in an office within the region). The role leads NA resource geology, mining (open pit and underground), and advisory services, providing technical and economic solutions across energy, mining, and processing.

It requires a broad background in mining projects and strong leadership to drive multidisciplinary teams and client engagement.

Qualifications

Leading NA resource geology and mining teams across energy, mining, mineral processing, and due diligence.
Developing high-performing, multi-disciplinary mining project teams and mentoring staff.
Interacting with clients and industry professionals to progress projects and secure opportunities.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct a multi-disciplinary team of mining engineers, geologists, economists, and designers from high-level studies to execution.
Engage in business development with external relationships and key clients.
Ensure quality assurance and control across projects; drive scope, planning, and execution with a virtual or distributed team.
Serve as a technical peer reviewer and program sponsor on key accounts and projects.
Travel domestically and internationally as required (approx. 10%).
Mentor and develop junior staff and support hiring of new talents.
