Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Team Lead Medical Assistant to support day-to-day clinical operations, mentor MA I/II staff, and coordinate team workflows. You will assist with patient rooming, documentation, and care coordination while fostering a positive patient and staff experience.

This role partners with departmental leadership to reinforce training, improve workflows, and uphold infection control and safety standards. Strong EMR skills and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Minimum 3 years Medical Assistant experience required; associate’s degree or higher may count in lieu of MA experience.
• BLS certification required within 6 months of hire; MA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MA I/II responsibilities: patient rooming, clinical support, documentation, care coordination.
• Mentor and precept Medical Assistants and student externs.
• Coordinate team workflows, EMR use, and department protocols.
• Monitor daily patient flow and address operational issues.
• Support onboarding, training, and positive patient experience.
