Qualifications

• Essential: BS/MS in engineering with ABET-accredited program and strong thermodynamics/heat transfer background.
• 12+ years progressive mechanical engineering experience, ideally nuclear.
• Experience designing piping, pressure vessels, HVAC, and radioactive material handling systems.
• Familiar with ASME codes and related standards.
• Proficient in CAE/FEA tools and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design engineering on a multi‑disciplined project team.
• Monitor staff work, manage schedule and budget for assigned tasks.
• Prepare and review calculations and mechanical designs.
• Create input for drawings (P&IDs, layouts, general arrangements) and equipment specs.
• Coordinate with vendors via precise specifications.
• Participate in project meetings with customers and mentor junior engineers.
