Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a mechanical engineer with 5+ years in the power sector to design and review nuclear plant systems, including hydraulic and heat transfer analyses. You will prepare modification packages, develop drawings, and craft procurement documents for plant equipment.

Opportunities include leading project teams, developing cost estimates, and interfacing with clients at site locations. A PE is beneficial but not required, ABET-accredited degree mandatory.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Minimum of 5 years in the power industry
• Knowledge of codes/standards for nuclear mechanical design
• PE license is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review hydraulic, heat transfer, and heat balance for nuclear plant systems
• Prepare modification packages for operating nuclear power plants
• Create functional mechanical drawings and procurement documents
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients at sites
