Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced mechanical/chemical engineer for nuclear power plant systems design in a hybrid role requiring in-office work 3 days per week. You will prepare and review modification packages, drawings, and specifications for plant equipment while leading engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in the nuclear industry, ABET-accredited engineering degrees, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards. PE license is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients at office/site.
• Prepare or review modification packages and engineering drawings for nuclear power plants.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client scopes.
