Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking an experienced mechanical/chemical engineer for nuclear power plant systems design. You will develop and review modification packages, drawings, and procurement documents to support plant operations.

You will lead project teams, interface with clients at offices or sites, and build cost estimates for small to mid-sized scopes. A PE is beneficial; ABET accreditation and 10 years in power are required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design of nuclear plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review modification packages, drawings, and analyses for nuclear power plant systems.
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients at offices or site locations.
• Prepare engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client scopes.
