Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimize the manufacturing value chain for electromechanical hardware. You will drive NPI transitions from prototype to high-volume production, develop tooling, and mentor a skilled team.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering early in development to feedback on manufacturability, define workflows across cross-functional teams, and ensure quality plans and work instructions are in place to scale

Qualifications

Degree in a technical field (engineering, math, or hard science).
8+ years of experience in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design.
Demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments.
Proven direct team leadership with backing examples.
Experience bringing up assembly operations for electromechanical assemblies.
Hands-on hardware manufacturing experience (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly).
Proficient with CAD and PLM software.

Responsibilities

Lead NPI to transition products from prototype to high-volume production, improving manufacturability.
Collaborate with design engineering to feedback for manufacturability.
Own manufacturing value chain for products or sets of products.
Develop tooling/fixturing for assembly and test.
Create process flows for subassemblies and sub-processes.
Write work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
Contribute to hardware/electrical design and interconnects.
