Job summary

Anduril Industries in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own the transition of electromechanical products from NPI to high-volume production. You will optimize DFM/DFA, establish scalable supply chains, and lead automation initiatives to improve throughput and quality.

The role partners with Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production Operations, Software, and Program Management to ensure seamless product realization.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
• Experience integrating large or high complexity assemblies/subassemblies.
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience in configuration management and change control (CCB, E&O, Effectivity dates).
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of new electromechanical products from NPI to high-volume production, ensuring DFM/DFA.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing production lines and processes.
• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to maximize throughput and quality.
• Lead and manage projects for installation, commissioning, and validation of new manufacturing systems.
• Identify and implement automation to streamline manufacturing processes.
• Develop manufacturing process flows and subassemblies for efficient production.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, QC plans, and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to ensure high-yield, on-time delivery.
• Travel to suppliers/CMs to resolve issues and drive improvements.
• Provide DFM/DFA feedback to engineering to optimize mass production.
