Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Team in Costa Mesa, CA. You will own manufacturing value chains, develop tooling, and collaborate with contract manufacturers to scale production of advanced defense hardware.

The role requires hands-on fabrication experience, leadership, and the ability to solve complex problems in resource-constrained environments, with US Person status required.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
• Demonstrated team leadership skills, with concrete examples.
• Hands-on hardware manufacturing experience (machining, soldering, assembly).
• Genuine interest in manufacturing and willingness to learn.
• U.S. Person status is required.

Responsibilities

• Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a product.
• Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts.
• Develop process flows, breaking down large assemblies into subassemblies.
• Write work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements.
• Work with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production.
• Work with technicians and engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware.
• Contribute to mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection.
• Travel to suppliers to do initial sourcing work, solve ongoing production issues, and implement quality procedures.
