Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Durham, NC seeks a Sr. Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operation of building systems inside a client facility.

You will lead a shift and mentor technicians to ensure reliable performance of critical equipment. Your work includes preventive maintenance optimization for conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, SCADA devices, and MHE. Strong PLC and electrical knowledge is required, in support of CBRE safety standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with automated conveyors and controls.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programs.
• 3+ years of work order management.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical/electronic principles.
• Ability to conduct preventative & procedure-based maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and improve functionality of materials handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems throughout the facility.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Install, maintain, and solve relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
• Lead and mentor work plan for emergency repair of critical assets and training plans for Maintenance Technicians.
• Build and close out work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
