Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee overall property maintenance under the direction of the Community Manager. The role includes performing repairs in resident apartments and assisting in preparing units for rent (make-ready).

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in apartment maintenance or related trades, possess English communication skills, and hold EPA refrigerant certification. Tools, driving license, and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trades experience.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform repairs in units and common areas (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Prepare apartments for rent (make-ready) and refurbishments.
• Maintain pool chemical levels and general property maintenance.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with the Community Manager.
• Maintain records of work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance.
• Participate in on-call and standby emergency rotations.
