Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance who is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property under the direction of the Community Manager and for repairs in resident apartments and make-ready units. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of maintenance experience, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to supervise subcontractors while coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• At least two years of full-time apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• EPA certification for refrigerants, transition, and recovery.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel between metropolitan areas and work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Restore make-ready units and refurbish apartments prior to occupancy.
• Perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks as needed.
• Maintain sprinkler systems and pool chemical levels.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance, work orders, inventories, and purchases.
• Assist in inspections and on-call standby coverage.
