Job summary

Valiant Residential in Austin, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee all property maintenance under the Community Manager, perform repairs in resident apartments, and assist in preparing units for rent (make-ready).

This role requires two years of apartment maintenance experience, strong English communication, EPA certification, and a basic toolset. You may travel, work weekends, and must have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of full‑time apartment maintenance or a trade requiring basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Replace filters and HVAC components as needed.
• Maintain sprinkler systems and pool chemical levels.
• Perform light electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Refurbish apartments prior to resident occupancy (make-ready).
• Supervise subcontractors and assist in planning maintenance priorities.
