Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee property upkeep under the Community Manager. You will perform repairs in resident apartments, prepare units for rent, and supervise contractors as needed.

The role requires minimum two years in apartment maintenance, English communication, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license. The company offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• EPA (refrigerant, transition, and recovery) certification.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• Willingness to work at other locations and travel within major metropolitan areas; overnight stays may be required.
• Ability to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests by residents within 24 hours.
• Replace filters and clean A/C vents as needed.
• Maintain sprinkler systems.
• Perform HVAC repairs as needed.
• Perform light electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.
• Perform light plumbing work such as clearing stoppages and fittings.
• Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, and fixtures.
• Paint interiors and exteriors when necessary.
• Perform carpentry work and related tasks.
• Assist in custodial work in common areas.
• Assist in preparing units for occupancy (make-ready).
• Inspect units and common areas and perform repairs as needed.
