Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring indoor and outdoor spaces meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role handles resident service requests, makes repairs, and coordinates make-ready tasks for leasing, while maintaining inventory and safety practices.

Responsibilities include inspecting work, managing vendors, supporting budget initiatives, and prioritizing cost-efficient maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of defects or problems from resident requests and make repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee the make-ready process to prepare vacant units, schedule vendors, and inspect completed work.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members to ensure policy adherence and quality.
• Inspect contractors and vendors to verify materials and services meet standards.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with Community Manager to order supplies.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in the Manual.
• Assist Community Manager in developing the budget for repair/maintenance and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible and using tools appropriately.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and updated MSDS.
• Demonstrate strong customer service by addressing resident questions and concerns promptly.
