Greystar is hiring a maintenance technician for The Colwick in Charlotte, NC. You will handle repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and support make-ready processes for move-ins.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely service within a large rental housing platform. Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, maintaining inventories, and upholding Greystar standards across grounds and interiors.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications (Type I/II or Universal) required where applicable.
• Driver's license required for on-site work and vehicle operation.
• Own hand tools and safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills when interacting with residents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in common areas, grounds, and units per safety and policy guidelines.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units: punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting completed work.
• Set and maintain standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common spaces.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies within budgetary guidelines.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance and assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-saving by repairing components rather than replacing when feasible.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and up-to-date MSDS sheets.
