Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Charlotte, NC to oversee and perform technical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will handle work orders, make-readies, safety compliance, and vendor coordination while maintaining inventory and supporting budget goals. This role requires EPA certifications, a valid license, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certifications required.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Experience with tools and equipment safety.
• Budgeting and cost-control awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete resident work orders and routine maintenance.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate with vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and common areas.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Inspect contractors and vendors for quality and scope.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts.
• Lead safety meetings and keep MSDS sheets updated.
