Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the community meets Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and function. You will handle resident requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in a 150‑unit high‑rise community.

Responsibilities include completing make-ready tasks, inspecting contractors, managing supplies, and supporting budget planning for repairs and capital projects. OSHA compliance and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade preferred.
• Must provide own hand tools and know safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal and external contacts.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; CM system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and schedule contractors as needed.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and interiors.
• Inspect work quality of team members and contractors; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist in budget for repairs and capital projects.
• Support safety programs, MSDS updates, and compliance with OSHA.
