Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring community buildings, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, prepare vacants for leasing, and inspect work for quality.

The role requires a proactive, service-focused mindset and strong safety knowledge.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets; knowledge of property management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose defects and perform repairs to meet safety and quality standards.
Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling contractors.
Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
Inspect work of team members and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies within budget.
Perform monthly preventative maintenance per policy.
Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
Participate in safety meetings and ensure OSHA and MSDS compliance.
