Qualifications

• Formal maintenance experience including electrical, carpentry, plumbing and grounds work.
• Ability to supervise inmates or staff and provide on-the-job training.
• Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Background Investigation required.

Responsibilities

• Lead worker over inmates for semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks.
• Repair and maintain electrical, carpentry, plumbing and related equipment.
• Perform interior custodial duties and exterior grounds keeping.
• Inspect buildings and equipment for needed repairs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate tools and welding equipment as needed and manage tool inventories.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in training and committees.
