Job summary

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction seeks a full-time Facilities Maintenance professional for London Correctional Institution. You will oversee semi-skilled trades, perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance, and ensure secure, safe, and functional facility operations.

Qualifications

• 12 months of maintenance repair experience or training.
• Valid commercial driver's license if required by vehicle type.
• Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and use of related hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead workers or inmate staff in semi-skilled maintenance tasks (electrical, carpentry, grounds keeping, plumbing).
• Perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance on equipment and fixtures.
• Repair doors, locks, cabinets, and other structures as needed.
• Inspect buildings and equipment for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Operate tools and welding equipment for metal repairs.
• Assist in related crafts and manage tool inventories.
