Responsibilities

Serves as lead worker over inmates or staff in semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repair tasks (electrical, carpentry, grounds, plumbing).
Performs maintenance repair of equipment such as light fixtures, outlets, switches, motors, appliances, heating/cooling components.
Performs carpentry repairs on doors, locks, cabinets, floors, walls, windows and stairs.
Performs plumbing repairs including pipes, fixtures, valves, toilets, sinks and heating elements.
Cleans and maintains interiors and exteriors; inspects buildings for needed repairs.
Operates tools and welding equipment; ensures proper tool security and inventories.
