Job summary

WGA Legacy Property Management is seeking a Lead Maintenance to ensure safe, secure, and comfortable living environments for residents and staff in New York. You will supervise make-ready processes, coordinate vendors, and uphold high-quality standards across buildings and common areas.

The role requires at least 3 years of property maintenance experience, 40-hour weeks, and on-call rotation for emergencies. Safety gear is required, and proactive maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience: at least 3 years in property maintenance or equivalent.
• Work Hours: 40 hours weekly; weekends as needed; rotating on-call for emergencies.
• Equipment: wear safety gear as tasks dictate and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues from resident requests following safety and code standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Maintain grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to meet high-quality standards.
• Inspect work of staff and contractors; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage inventory and coordinate supplies with budget considerations.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance according to policy.
• Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing when feasible.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance; keep MSDS sheets current.
• Provide responsive customer service to residents and staff with professionalism.
