Job summary

Valiant Residential in Denton, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance who is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property under the direction of the Community Manager, including repairs in resident apartments and making units ready for rent.

You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and preventive maintenance, supervise subcontractors, maintain records, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the property.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or similar trade experience required.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform HVAC repairs and replace filters; maintain HVAC systems.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed.
• Assist in refurbishing apartments prior to resident occupancy (make-ready).
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with the Community Manager.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance, work orders, and supplies.
• Participate in on-call duties and standby emergency coverage.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper storage of hazardous materials.
