Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee the property's maintenance under the Community Manager’s direction in Austin, TX. The role includes performing repairs in resident apartments and assisting in preparing units for rent (make-ready).

The position emphasizes a strong maintenance background, the ability to supervise sub-contractors, and proactive upkeep of the property to ensure high standards and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade with basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• EPA certification for refrigerants, transition, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform HVAC repairs and light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
• Make-ready apartments prior to resident occupancy; refurbish as needed.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical fixtures, and appliances.
• Assist with custodial work and property upkeep in common areas.
• Inspect units, buildings, and common areas; coordinate with vendors and sub-contractors.
