Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance who is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property under the direction of the Community Manager. This role covers repairs in resident apartments and assist in preparing units for rent (make-ready).

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; Spanish bilingualism a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• Ability to travel within major metropolitan areas with possible overnight stays.
• Ability to work some weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within 24 hours.
• Replace filters and clean AC vents; maintain sprinkler systems.
• Perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed.
• Prepare units for rent (make-ready) and assist in inspections.
• Supervise subcontractors and maintain records of maintenance work and inventories.
• Assist in custodial tasks in common areas and support on-call duties.
