Job summary

Etsy is seeking a Lead Mailroom Associate to own mailroom operations for the Brooklyn HQ and satellite locations. You will receive, sort, log, and distribute mail, manage outgoing shipments, and serve as the primary mail-related contact across the office.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, coordinating with courier vendors, and ensuring timely deliveries while supporting security checks and office events. On-site work required, with potential for team training and coverage.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mailroom or shipping experience in a corporate office.
• Strong organizational skills and time-sensitive deliveries.
• Clear written and verbal communication with employees and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end mailroom operations: receive, sort, log, and deliver incoming mail and packages; prepare, weigh, and process outgoing mail with correct postage.
• Maintain accurate mail logs and tracking records for retrieval and audit purposes; produce mailroom activity/inventory reports as needed.
• Manage courier and postal vendor relationships—securing competitive rates, comparing shipping options, ensuring timely delivery.
• Review incoming mail for security concerns and resolve escalated issues in coordination with other departments.
• Maintain mailroom supplies, equipment, and space organization; keep the area free of backlog or clutter.
• Serve as the point of contact for employee questions about postage, rates, loading dock, and shipping timelines.
• Audit postal paperwork and support payroll/accounts payable mail printing and distribution as needed.
• Train and guide additional team members for coverage as needed.
• Occasionally support Workplace Operations with conference/event setup or special projects.
