Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Engineer for Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear to lead electrical design, validation, and lifecycle support across programs. You will own electrical execution from concept to production, ensure customer alignment, and drive cost, quality, and manufacturability objectives.

Based in Prince George, Virginia, this on-site role requires extensive LV experience, leadership across NPIs, and proficiency with industry standards and IEC 61850/Modbus networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems preferred) or related field.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years in low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, or power distribution products.
• Demonstrated technical leadership on multiple NPI programs and successful product launches.
• Expert knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A, UL 845, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, protection relays, circuit breakers, metering, LV switchgear applications.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design and architecture of LV switchgear, including protection, control, metering, and communication systems.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and design deliverables.
• Lead development and validation of protection and coordination philosophies and arc-flash mitigation strategies.
• Lead concept development, prototype builds, design verification, and production release activities.
• Drive engineering decisions to optimize cost, performance, manufacturability, schedule, and quality.
• Lead design transfer and manufacturing readiness for global sites.
