Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Coppell, TX is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead hourly staff in driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and cross-docking. You will supervise schedules, review routes, ensure documentation accuracy, and support customer service goals.

You will participate in hiring, monitor performance, and implement process improvements to boost productivity while maintaining safety and policy compliance. This role requires travel as needed and a strong attention to attendance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable.
• Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance markers.
• Provide counseling and/or recognition to associates as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control.
• Evaluate and recommend changes in work methods to increase productivity of dispatch/warehouse operations.
• Assist in new associate training and provide relief coverage when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and manage overtime to meet productivity targets.
• Ensure day-to-day management aligns with safety strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Understand customer goals and identify Continuous Improvement opportunities.
• Plan work assignments to maximize fleet/warehouse equipment utilization.
