Job summary

Penske Logistics in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Supervisor to lead hourly associates and drive daily tasks, including driver deliveries, loading/unloading, cross-docking and customer service, while aligning with cost objectives.

You will supervise workflow, monitor attendance and performance, provide coaching, and collaborate with site leadership to optimize processes, safety, and productivity.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• People: Communicate performance standards, interview hourly associates, monitor attendance and productivity, provide counseling or recognition.
• Operations: Supervise logistics operations, dispatch, documentation, and improve work methods for productivity; train new associates; provide coverage as needed.
• Finance: Ensure compliance with policy, manage hours to minimize overtime and hit productivity targets.
• Safety: Align activities with safety strategy and ensure regulatory compliance and training.
• Growth / Customer Experience: Align with customer goals and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Fleet/Assets: Plan work to optimize fleet/warehouse equipment usage and train hourly staff on safe operation.
