Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor to provide operational leadership to the hourly workforce, coordinating driver deliveries, loading/unloading, cross docking and customer service to meet cost objectives.

Responsibilities include supervising dispatch, documentation, and attendance, plus training new associates and ensuring compliance with safety and company policies across the site in Grand Prairie, TX.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly workforce and ensure execution of daily tasks.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and documentation control.
• Review truck runs based on location of accounts, volume, costs, customer requirements and private fleet utilization.
• Assist in new associate training and provide relief coverage as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, financial policies and procedures and accurate records.
