Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering specializing in Link 22 to lead architecture, design, and integration for airborne and maritime platforms.

You will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding configuration, interoperability, and validation across multiple programs. The role requires deep knowledge of Link 22 standards, network design, and involvement with multi-domain data links.

Qualifications

• Active US Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with minimum 7 years related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Strong Systems Engineering requirements development, traceability, verification, and validation skills.
• Experience creating tactical datalink (TDL) scenarios for software integration and testing.
• Hands-on experience integrating Link 22 systems for airborne or ground applications.
• Knowledge of Link 22 network architecture, STANAG 5522, and NPG design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Link 22 SME, guiding architecture, configuration, and interoperability.
• Integrate Link 22 with airborne and maritime platforms for effective operations.
• Architect data flows across multi-node networks, manage time slots and routing.
• Develop and maintain exportable Link 22 configurations across programs and customers.
• Design and test Link 22 hardware/software components including SNC, SPC, and LLC.
• Create Link 22 data flows with other links (Link 16, VMF) across domains.
• Plan interoperability testing in lab and field environments, including multinational events.
• Translate CONOPS into system requirements and verify traceability.
• Write subsystem specifications and evaluate alternative system designs.
• Review wiring diagrams to ensure traceability to system requirements.
• Develop test plans and execute Link 22 standards conformance testing.
