Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. seeks a Lead, Systems Engineering for Link 22 to join a skilled team focused on the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of Link 22 data link systems for airborne and maritime platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on architecture development and configuration expertise. The candidate will serve as SME for Link 22, drive interoperability with Link 16 and other tactical links, develop test plans, and collaborate across programs.

Qualifications

• Active US Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology with 9+ years experience.
• Graduate degree with 7+ years experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 13 years of related experience.
• Strong systems engineering requirements development and traceability.
• Experience creating tactical datalink (TDL) scenarios.
• Hands-on experience with Link 22 hardware/software.
• Experience with Link 16 and other tactical data links.
• Ability to work in multi-national interoperability testing.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Link 22 SME with architecture and configuration expertise.
• Integrate and configure Link 22 across airborne and maritime platforms.
• Design Link 22 data flows across multi-node networks.
• Develop exportable Link 22 configurations for multiple programs.
• Integrate SNC, SPC, and LLC components for interoperability.
• Design physical architectures with Link 22 and other data links.
• Test wideband and narrowband links for Link 22 operations.
• Translate customer needs into system requirements and traceability.
• Write subsystem specifications and evaluate alternative solutions.
• Plan and execute Link 22 interoperability testing with multinational teams.
• Prepare presentations of Link 22 architecture for government customers.
• Develop and implement software and system test plans.
• Support SW development, integration, and test using Link 22 simulation.
