Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering Link 22 to support requirements, design, development, testing, and integration of complex hardware/software systems for ISR and communications platforms.

The candidate will serve as the Link 22 subject matter expert, providing hands-on architecture development, system design, configuration, integration, and training expertise for airborne and maritime platforms. Travel varies with program phase.

Qualifications

• Active US Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology or related field; 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Graduate degree with 7+ years of related experience; in lieu of degree, 13+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Link 22 subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of Link 22 systems, architecture, and message standards.
• Integrate and configure Link 22 systems for airborne and maritime platforms for interoperability.
• Design data flows across multi-node networks including time-slot management and routing.
• Develop and maintain exportable Link 22 configurations for multiple programs and customers.
• Integrate hardware/software components (SNC, SPC, LLC) ensuring proper interoperability.
• Design physical architectures with Link 22 and other tactical links across security domains.
• Test wideband and narrowband links in support of Link 22 operations.
• Translate customer requirements into system-level requirements with traceability.
• Write subsystem specs from system requirements and evaluate alternatives.
• Review electrical diagrams to ensure traceability to requirements.
• Create compliance and test procedures for Link 22 standards and MIL‑STD/STANAG specs.
• Plan interoperability tests in lab and field environments for coalition events.
• Prepare presentations to communicate Link 22 details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop, author, and implement software and system test plans in a team environment.
• Develop test scenarios using Link 22 simulators for SW development and integration.
• Work in an agile engineering environment.
