Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering Link 22 to serve as the primary Link 22 subject matter expert.

You will architect, design, and integrate Link 22 data flows across multi‑node networks for airborne, ground, and maritime platforms, including compatibility with Link 16 and other links. The role requires hands‑on experience with Link 22 hardware/software, multi‑domain interoperability, and extensive testing across lab and operational environments.

Qualifications

• Active US Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience (Software Engineer also considered with relevant experience).
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of core Systems Engineering requirements development, decomposition, traceability, verification, and validation.
• Prior experience creating tactical datalink (TDL) scenarios in support of software development, integration, and testing phases.
• Hands‑on experience integrating and configuring Link 22 tactical data link systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Link 22 SME, leveraging knowledge of Link 22 architectures and standards.
• Integrate and configure Link 22 systems for airborne and maritime platforms.
• Design Link 22 data flows across multi‑node networks including time slot management and message routing.
• Develop and maintain exportable Link 22 configurations for multiple programs and customers.
• Coordinate with SNC, SPC, LLC components to ensure interoperability with platforms.
• Design physical architectures incorporating Link 22 with other tactical data links.
• Plan and execute Link 22 interoperability testing in lab and field environments.
• Prepare presentations explaining Link 22 architecture and configurations to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Develop, author, and implement software and system test plans in a team environment.
• Work in an Agile engineering environment.
