Job summary

Salted is hiring a Lead Line Cook in Union City, NJ, to join our fast-growing, delivery-focused restaurant group. You will prepare and cook items to Salted standards, supervise shifts, and collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

We require 2+ years of kitchen experience and at least 1 year in a leadership role, ability to stand long hours, and lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k, paid sick time, and free meals.

• Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work and flat-top cooking.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience and at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to Salted culinary standards.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with our virtual Front of House team to deliver dining experiences.
• Take ownership of opening, closing, and shift hand-off processes.
• Assist in training and development of staff members.
• Foster harmonious team dynamics and resolve minor conflicts.

Lead Line Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to perfection, accurately following our Salted culinary standards.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with our virtual Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Take ownership of the opening, closing, and shift hand-off process.
• Assist in the training and development of staff members.
• Facilitate smooth team dynamics by addressing and resolving minor conflicts among staff, fostering a harmonious work atmosphere.
