Job summary

Salted is hiring a Lead Line Cook in Lawndale, CA. You will prepare and cook food to Salted standards, ensure sanitation and safety, and work with our Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

You will lead shifts, open/close operations, and help train staff while maintaining a positive, fast-paced kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
• Solid knife and prep skills; flat-top cooking and more

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to Salted standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with Front of House to deliver great dining experiences.
• Own opening, closing, and shift hand-off processes.
• Assist in training and developing staff.
• Foster smooth team dynamics and resolve minor conflicts.

Lead Line Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to perfection, accurately following our Salted culinary standards.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with our virtual Front of House team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Take ownership of the opening, closing, and shift hand-off process.
• Assist in the training and development of staff members.
• Facilitate smooth team dynamics by addressing and resolving minor conflicts among staff, fostering a harmonious work atmosphere.

Lead Line Cook Requirements

• Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work, flat-top cooking, and more
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
